CDX Studios LLC (“CDX Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) makes the mobile game Dodgelings for iPhone, iPad and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information Dodgelings collects, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have, including how to delete your account. CDX Studios LLC is a Texas limited liability company and is responsible for the personal information described here.

1. Information We Collect

A. Your game account

Dodgelings does not ask for your real name, email address or phone number. When you first play online, the game creates a guest account for you automatically on CDX Studios’ own game servers. For that account we collect or create:

• A random player identifier and a sign-in token that is stored on your device so it can sign back in to your account;
• The gamer name you choose (gamer names are public to other players and must follow our naming rules);
• If you are signed in to Apple Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), your Game Center or Play Games player identifier, so your account can be linked to it.

B. Online play and friends

When you play online, our service providers process:

• Session data needed to put you on a map with other players (up to 8 per map): your gamer name, selected hero and outfit, your hero’s movement and position on the course, deaths and progress during the run;
• Your friends list, friend requests you send and receive, and whether your friends are online.

The players you recently played with are remembered on your device so you can find them again. Other players can see your gamer name, hero, outfit, position on the map, deaths and progress during a run. Dodgelings has no chat, voice or messaging between players.

C. Leaderboards

Dodgelings uses Apple Game Center leaderboards (“Fastest Run” and “Runs Cleared”). If you are signed in to Game Center, your run times and number of runs cleared are sent to Game Center and shown with your Game Center name. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.

D. Purchases

Dodgelings offers optional in-app purchases (crystal packs, the Starter Pack and the Cosmic Pack). Payments are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment card or bank details. We may receive the product you bought, transaction or order identifiers, receipts and purchase status, so we can deliver and restore what you bought.

E. Technical information

Like any online service, the servers that run the game’s online features receive your device’s IP address and basic connection information (connection times, app version and platform), and keep short-lived logs to run, secure and troubleshoot the game and to prevent cheating and abuse.

F. Information kept only on your device

Your sparks, crystals, unlocked heroes and outfits, Blast Pass progress, best times, daily rewards, your acceptance of these terms, and your settings (music, sound, vibration, controls, battery saver) are saved on your device. Removing the app removes this information from the device; purchases can be restored with the in-game RESTORE PURCHASES button.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Dodgelings does not collect your precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone input, health information, or advertising identifiers. Dodgelings contains no advertising and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

3. How We Use Information

• To create and keep your game account and sign you in;
• To run online play, matchmaking, friends and leaderboards;
• To deliver, verify and restore purchases;
• To keep the game secure and fair, and to prevent cheating, fraud and abuse;
• To fix problems and improve the game;
• To answer support, privacy and deletion requests, and to meet legal obligations.

4. How We Share Information

• Other players see the public details described above.
• Service providers that run the game’s online features process data on our behalf under contract, in particular DigitalOcean, which hosts our game servers in the United States.
• Apple and Google process sign-in (Game Center, Play Games), leaderboards, payments, refunds and purchase restoration under their own privacy policies.
• Legal and safety: we may disclose information when required by law or to protect players, CDX Studios or others.
• Business transfers: information may move with a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. Your sign-in secret is always encrypted when it is sent. To keep the game fast, live gameplay data (such as your gamer name, hero and position on the course) is sent to our servers without encryption. No system is completely secure.

6. How Long We Keep Information

• Account, gamer name and friends data: while your account exists. They are deleted when you delete your account.
• Server and security logs: generally up to 90 days.
• Purchase, tax and accounting records: as long as the law requires.
• Support emails: up to three years after the request is closed.

7. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your Dodgelings account at any time in the game: on the main menu tap the gear icon to open Settings, tap DELETE ACCOUNT and confirm. This permanently deletes your online account, player identifier, gamer name and friends list, and erases your progress on that device. You can also ask us to delete it by email; see our Dodgelings account deletion page. Scores you sent to Game Center are managed by Apple in your Game Center settings. Deleting your account does not cancel or refund purchases made through Apple or Google.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to appeal our response. To make a request, email developer@cdxstudiosllc.net and include your gamer name. We may need to verify that you control the account. You can also contact your local data-protection authority.

9. Children

Dodgelings is intended for players aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

CDX Studios is based in the United States, and our game servers are in the United States. Our service providers may process information there and in other countries, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the game or the law changes. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. If the changes are significant, the game will ask you to review and accept them again.
